Hi there! There hasn't been a whole bunch going on in my world lately, and with my favorite soap gearing up to bring back the beloved Jason Morgan I thought I'd talk a little about when I got to meet Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson. If you don't know, they have a podcast and a Patreon channel. It has grown over the last few years.
You might wonder why I chose this topic. Well, it's always a good time to talk about Steve Burton! But also, Steve is returning to General Hospital next week! So why not talk about Steve?
In 2019 I was able to go see Stone Cold and the Jackal at a local comedy club. The show was awesome, but I was super star struck getting to see Steve Burton in person. I have loved him since Jason Q the goody turned into Jason Morgan the mob enforcer! So of course I jumped at the chance to see him, AND get a VIP ticket so I could meet him and Bradford as well.
The show was hilarious and fun. Mr. G and I used it as a date night. Of course he didn't follow everything GH related that they talked about but he got some of it since I've been an avid watcher.
At the end of the show, all of the VIPs got in line to meet the guys on stage. I was a nervous wreck, and then I think my nerves took over. I became hot, dizzy, and nauseous. I really thought I was going to pass out! Luckily, Mr. G was with me, and eventually I was fine.
When it was my turn to get on stage, I was awe-struck with Steve standing right in front of me. Bradford gave me a big hug (he is so down to Earth and friendly! Plus he is a great singer.)
Tall and muscular Steve smiled at me and commented to me being the "lady with the pretty eyes" - OMG... SWOON!!!
As I stared at him all derpy, and he gave me a big hug.
These two are amazing people. They are kind, caring, down to Earth, gentle, and awesome.
And of course I got pictures to prove it.
Then in 2022 they finally returned to Pittsburgh and of course I was there (and dragged Mr G with me as a "date night"). Again their show was amazing. By now Steve had left GH, and honestly, I wasn't sure there would be another tour after this one, so I made sure I was there!
(Spoiler Alert: Steve is back on GH as of next week - well, he's been on set, but we will finally see him next week.)
We had been through the 2020 Pandemic since the last show, so now there were no more hugs (bummer). But we still had the VIP meet with the guys. This time they stayed on stage and we stood in front of the stage. It made for kind of odd photo ops, but none the less I still got to stand with Steve and Bradford!!
And this time Steve said he loved my shirt. He is big on focus on the positive side of things. So I purposely wore my CREATE YOUR OWN SUNSHINE shirt.
And, pictures or it didn't happen, right? (I think if you click on the photos they expand so Mr G isn't really cut off, nor is Bradford or Steve's head, lol.)
Oh, and I didn't almost pass out this time either, lol.
